Before embarking on your journey, ensure your vaccines are up-to-date. While the Ministry of Public Health in Ecuador mandates yellow fever vaccination proof for travelers to its northern Amazonian provinces, this isn't a requirement if you're heading to the southern regions, such as where our lodge is situated. Still we recommend having a vaccination against yellow fever as an additional precaution. Nevertheless, anti-malaria medication is essential.

At our center, we prioritize your well-being. Our lodge is equipped with a basic medical kit to address minor issues. For more extensive care, we collaborate with the local health center situated in the nearest community, a mere 15-minute journey from the lodge. Another health facility is available in the Wachirpas community, approximately 30 minutes away.
Should an emergency arise, our first course of action is to provide initial care at the lodge. If necessary, guests are transferred to the nearest health center. In dire cases requiring aerial evacuation, guests are flown from the lodge to Shell. Three local hospitals in the vicinity are adept at handling medical emergencies:
